BURGAW, N.C. (WECT) – Feast Down East’s annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser is returning next month, bringing together local food, live entertainment and community support.
Attendees can expect to enjoy local oysters and other local foods, drinks, a chef cooking demonstration, live music and a silent auction.
“Your attendance helps to sustain and grow our programs that support local farmers while ensuring vulnerable communities have access and autonomy in procuring healthy, local food,” said Jordyn Appel-Hughes, Executive Director of Feast Down East. “We look forward to celebrating and uplifting our food system with you on December 6th.”
The third annual Oyster Roast Fundraiser is scheduled for Dec. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Feast Down East’s Food Hub in Burgaw’s Historic Train Depot.
Proceeds from the event will directly support programs that combat food insecurity and support agriculture across southeastern North Carolina.
