COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – Republicans held their own in the 2026 General Election yesterday, but the GOP is left scratching its head after losing two key races.
Amy Acton won the race for governor over Vivek Ramaswamy.
The former state health director sounded that theme before supporters voters Election night, saying programs for children and clean water are priorities.
And Sherrod Brown defeated incumbent Senator Jon Husted in a closer race decided by just a few percentage points.
Both races featured seemingly endless television commercials, one of them a controversial ad featuring Acton’s estranged birth mother.
That was lambasted by both sides of the aisle.
