A 21-year-old woman from Chicago was killed during a shooting attack Monday at a Hammond, Ind. Walmart, officials announced Tuesday.
An autopsy determined Dakota Norwood died of multiple gunshot wounds and her death was ruled a homicide, according to a statement from the Lake County coroner's office.
Norwood was shot about 9:35 a.m. Monday at Walmart, 1100 S. 5th Ave. in Hammond, and she was pronounced dead at 10:27 a.m., according to the statement.
